Real Underwater Car from Rinspee

This is SOOOOOO cool! A Swiss company, Rinspee, has come out with a real convertible car that can go underwater. No joke. The car has built-in air tanks, it’s zero-emissions, and it runs on a rechargeable battery. But you better carry along your scuba mask!

Take a look at this Rinspee video….

Beginning Diver - What Is The Difference Between a Wetsuit and a Drysuit?

For those of you just starting to get into scuba diving, you might be asking yourself what is the difference between a wetsuit and a drysuit. Let’s talk a little about each starting with a wetsuit.
Wetsuits are intended to minimize the loss of heat. In general, a material known as neoprene is used to make them. Neoprene has small gas cells made into it during the production process, which help reduce body heat loss. In fact, the neoprene actually functions as an insulator.Another method of reducing body heat is to trap a layer of water between the diver’s skin and the wetsuit. Your body heat then warms the layer of water helping to keep you warm. A well designed (sealed) wetsuit will reduce water flow therefore, keeping the heat inside.

One of the best suits I’ve had is the Akona 7MM jumpsuit. Its smart design includes a really cool zipper system, great knee pad protection (that looks cool too), and Akona’s “Grab Shoulder” material for compensators.

The Akona jumpsuit typically sales for around $280 but it’s on sale right now for around $115. That’s a great price! Check it out by clicking this link.
